Parsons KS – B.A.S.S. Elite Series Angler, Brent Chapman will be making
an appearance at the Division 58 American Bass Anglers two-day tournament on
Labette County’s Big Hill Lake August 29-30. The professional angler’s
visit is sponsored by Labette County Tourism in cooperation with Division 58
of the American Bass Anglers tournament trail.
Chapman
will attend the annual cook-out to be held at
3729 Main in Parsons at the home of Becky Minor,
director of Division 58. The cook-out is an annual
event hosted by Ben and Becky Minor and takes
place on Saturday evening of D58 2-day Championship
Tournament. This year, the date is August 29.
In addition to Chapman, Labette County tourism
director, Jim Zaleski will also be in attendance
along with most of the anglers participating
in the Championship event. Chapman will also
be at the awards ceremony at Timberhill Boat
Ramp on Sunday, the 30th which will begin around
3:30 p.m.
This
is the final D58 tournament for the 2009 season,
the results of which will determine the ABA Southeast
Kansas Champion Angler as well as the ABA Angler
of the Year. The Angler of the Year will be invited
to a 1-day fish off in late September 2009 on
Wilson Lake, Al where 50 anglers will be fishing
for a fully rigged Triton Boat.
