Stockton Division 126 of the American Fishing
tour heads to Stockton Lake this weekend. Fishing
action has been very good and up to 30 anglers
will compete at this divisional qualifying event,
being held Saturday, May 15, 2010. Launching out
of Hawker Point, these anglers are fishing for
both cash and points. The points help the anglers
to qualify for the Divisional 2-day Championship
as well as the American Fishing Tour National Championship
to be held on Kentucky Lake the first week of October,
2010.
There is a lot at
stake for the Division 126 weekend anglers. One
angler will advance to the Angler of the Year Final
Round. The top angler from each division that has
fished 4 one-day and a two-day in that division
will get a one-day practice, one-day tournament
shot at fully loaded Triton/Mercury Boat Package
in September. With only five qualifiers left, Chad
McManis is in the lead with 385 points. Right behind
him is Carl Cox with 384 and Mark Moody with 383.
The race is tight, but everyone is still in it.

Becky Minor will be in the Stockton area Friday
and will take early registration. Call her cell
phone, 316 644-1454 and make arrangements to
meet at Lake Stockton Mini Mart or other places
close to the lake. You can also register at Hawker
Point Ramp Saturday morning as early as 5:00
A.M. A mandatory briefing will begin at about
5:30 A.M. followed by the partner draw. Tournament
hours will be from 6:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. Weigh-in
will begin shortly after 2:00 followed by presentation
of cash, prizes and plaques. The public is invited
to the weigh-in.

The American Fishing Tour offers low cost, close
to home bass tournaments that are designed for
