American Bass Anglers Hosts Tournament On Stockton Lake

Stockton Division 126 of the American Fishing tour heads to Stockton Lake this weekend. Fishing action has been very good and up to 30 anglers will compete at this divisional qualifying event, being held Saturday, May 15, 2010. Launching out of Hawker Point, these anglers are fishing for both cash and points. The points help the anglers to qualify for the Divisional 2-day Championship as well as the American Fishing Tour National Championship to be held on Kentucky Lake the first week of October, 2010.

There is a lot at stake for the Division 126 weekend anglers. One angler will advance to the Angler of the Year Final Round. The top angler from each division that has fished 4 one-day and a two-day in that division will get a one-day practice, one-day tournament shot at fully loaded Triton/Mercury Boat Package in September. With only five qualifiers left, Chad McManis is in the lead with 385 points. Right behind him is Carl Cox with 384 and Mark Moody with 383. The race is tight, but everyone is still in it.
